Heroes Reborn: Jack Coleman Set To Return As HRG!

This is the special day for "Heroes" fans around the world.

It has just been officially announced that Jack Coleman will be returning to NBC's "Heroes Reborn" as morally ambiguous Noah Bennett aka HRG (or Horn Rimmed Glasses)!

Jack Coleman has been seen in quite a few TV shows recently. He had a recurring role as the menacing Senator William H. Bracken in "Castle", and played CIA handler Andrew Strong in the last season of "Burn Notice". Although, he has not been away from the TV screens for too long, many "Heroes" fans still sorely miss dangerously sexy HRG.

"Heroes Reborn", a re-imagined 13-episode mini-series of the popular "Heroes" TV show, has been scheduled to premiere in 2015. The show is expected to have new characters and continues to be produced by the original series' creator Tim Kring.

There will also be a digital series that is currently angled as a prequel to "Heroes Reborn", and this will premiere before the show goes on air on NBC.com.

Other than these tidbits and the announcement of Jack Coleman's reprisal of his very popular role, not much else is known about the production of "Heroes Reborn". (More information about the reboot when it was first announced in early 2014 here.)

There have been hints that familiar faces will make appearances on "Heroes Reborn", and Red Dot Diva knows that many fans are hoping for hot favourites - Sylar (Zachary Quinto), Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) and Claire (Hayden Panettiere) - to return. However, there are other characters whom you can't help but wonder what had happened to them since their last appearance on "Heroes". For instance, telepathic Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), and super-intelligent Micah Sanders (Noah Gray-Cabey), who apparently went off in an undisclosed location. Also, after the showdown at the Sullivan Bros. Carnival, several baddies were still alive and kicking. Red Dot Diva would especially like to find out what Samuel Sullivan (Robert Knepper) and Eli (Todd Stashwick) have been up to.

Which also brings us to the question whether there will be a "Heroes Reborn" presence in the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. Things are still hush-hush at NBC and it seems that "they do not have anything planned for Comic-Con at the moment". But who knows? Maybe "Heroes" fans heading to Comic-Con will get a wonderful surprise?

Red Dot Diva certainly hopes so!
